I wanted to work on several projects focusing on product shots, themed set-dressing, the use of gobo’s/real-life lighting techniques, and realism. Like the El Capitan project – which is another product-based project – the idea was to emulate a photoshoot but through 3D means. Over the space of three days, I modelled and compiled my assets, created the branding and identity, prepped all the textures and lights and built the scene. Once rendered, I finished each image with some dramatic colour-grading in Photoshop.
